Heart of Gold

Going through Fires of my Own making
I purified myself
Or I thought I did
I gave up all my values
A value less Man
Still Smoldering
But You
You were looking to get Out
They caught You and Pulled You back in
You took it all in
And came out a Heart of Gold
Glowing in the Darkness
Shine on Dear Friend

Castle

Far up above the Hills
Looking down the valley and his people
The King laid claim to the Land
He built a mighty Castle
With strong Walls and High Gates
He ruled over the poor peasants
Lorded over them
Got what he wanted
and all his sordid past is buried with him there.
We are tiny specks
Looking up  the Monument
Of Greed and Plunder
And if the King were to rise from his Grave today
We Will bow our Heads
Respect for Brute force is ingrained in our Minds.

Fall

October is around the corner
Soon the Leaves will turn Color
Shades of Red and Yellow
One Final Dance of Life
In Defiance
Even as Fall Creeps up the Limbs
I will be Out walking in
The Dry Crunchy leaves
Summer a beautiful Memory
Of Love and Sunsets
Thoughts like Horses
Galloping in my Mind
Take me Far away

Friends (And Lovers)

A brilliant Mind
Consumed by its Own Fires
Burning in its own Flames
Looks for an Answer
I run into You
You take My Hand
and put it over Your Heart
I feel Your Pain
and You soothe Mine
Emotions
You can Laugh them Off
or Cry over them

Drifting

Drifting through the Woods
I am Meandering
Flowing like a River
Yearning for something
Not Knowing what I will find
Around the bend
Will you be there
as I turn the corner

Flight of an Eagle

Sitting on the Beach
Watching the Eagle take Flight
One smooth Flap of Wings
And he is Airborne
Silent and Strong
The Eagle rides the winds
A slight tilt and he Glides down and up
I want to soar with him.
But my Wings are clipped
Gutless and Clueless
I sit and wait for my time to come

Meditating

I sit in Solitude
But I am not alone
You are with me.
I don't close my eyes while meditating
I see you Everywhere
I get up and walk outside
All things are in order
Pick up a leaf or peek into a flower
I see the intricate patterns of life
You may be away
But the wind brings me your presence
Why would you build a wall
Why would you not let it be.

Harmony ( The Other side of it)

This is what I should  be
Calm and Composed in my heart
In Harmony with my self
There could be a storm outside
But I would be at peace inside.
The path to it lies in me.
I know it and I feel it.
Are You headed there
Will You take me on this Journey.
On the way to my self discovery
I will see my weaknesses and the traps
I am not ashamed of it
I hope You won't be.

If only You Looked at things
From My point of View
You will see Why I did what I did
We all spend Our Entire Lives
Trying to achieve Harmony
Look at the Universe
Born from a Violent Explosion
Filled with Black Holes
Devouring Stars and Planets
Disorder Rules
If You are looking to achieve Peace
Then You are not in tune with our Creator
Give up this Notion.
